After monitoring the water quality for the past months it was finally safe to go in. I dressed up in my PVC leggings, Puffer jacket over my rain jacket and donned a pair one of my pairs of pleaser boots.
There is a swimming area with plenty of foliage to hide you from the road, but close enough to hear anyone coming. Of course your fully exposed to the far side, but the bush is somewhat thick.
The area has a small sandy beach and gravel path. Well rocky path. The sand however is mixed in with dirt and it's not actually sand, it's rocks that have been crushed up. Found that out the hardway when I went for a roll and play in it.
A good drenching. Lots of fun. It is a pity that winter time is the only opportiunty. The water becomes toxic in warmer months algie blooms E Coli and parasites, but the rain and snow means the water is always fresher and anything nasty gets washed away.
Only a five minute drive from home which makes it the perfect spot for some more wetlook action if I desire it.
There is a mudding spot further on down the road, however it is behind an electrified fence and despite looking old I wasn't going to test it out, rubber or not.
