I so want to be a part of this effort somehow (preferably paid). Obviously, as with all frontier engineering & science, working on 1 thing pays off in countless ways on other, seemingly unrelated, efforts.
When I was in 7th grade in a different century, I told my teachers I wanted to be a mad scientist (technically, a mad engineer) when I grow up.
Imagine bioengineering a pie such that when you throw it at a person's face, the pie fights back.
Still haven't given up on my childhood dreams. (sniff)
