Hulu debuts a mini series called 11-22-63 today which is based on a Steven King novel. The book features a scene with a pie fight so it's possible that the series does too. No guarantees of course but I'll be checking out in the next week or so.
Yes, that's right. A big pie fight on stage I think, and in the end a guy and his girlfriend appears and the rest throw a lot of pies to them. It'll be amazing if the series show the pie fight. Eventually, the girl who plays the main role in the series is Sarah Gadon.
Me again, I check the book and according to some of the characters involved in the scene and the cast of the series, episode 3 could be the one. But... you never know.
It's a good scene in the book, but obviously one never knows what parts they're gonna leave in during an adaption, or even how they handle the scene if they include it.
Also the scene, and the whole setup of putting on the play, are pretty incidental to the plot, so they could easily be cut out.
On the OTHER hand... 8-hour (??) miniseries has the time to hit all the plot points if desired. And Franco's been pied on camera before.
I thought the book was one of King's best, and the series has much more prestige than the usual (shitty) adaptations of King's work. I'm watching regardless.
