This is just something to look out for. Apparently, they're running a vote in their merch shop between two female wrestlers Madison and Rebel, whoever loses in votes gets a pie in the face at the end of the month.
Just from reading the video comments, I'm guessing it will end up being Madison who gets pied. Rebel is pretty popular, but that might end up having a reverse effect of people wanting to see her get pied. Who knows, I'm happy with either one. Although, I've already seen Madison get pied on wrestlicious.
I know TNA doesn't care (and the girl sold it well)... But geez, how minuscule is their budget that not only can they afford a REAL pie for this gag.... But they can't even afford to make a pie with a crust... or with the can of spray cream in the shot.
Because that is basically a shaving cream pie in a metal tin. Total cost: $.65. (And most of that is the tin.)
Rigged....in professional wrestling.....say it isn't so.
I take the point about the cheap pie.....when you consider how many custom cars get destroyed during wrestling shows,,,,,they must destroy about a million dollars worth of cars each year,,,,and yet they can only afford to spend 75 cents on a cheap shaving cream pie,
Rigged but awesome!!!! Some people may whine about the pie quality, but for me it was an excellent scene because of the malice with which it was delivered, the competition, the drama. Nice job TNA!
I like everything about it except the pie itself... and as WAMTEC mentioned, it seems weird that they spend so much money on other items but can't drop a few bucks to get a really good pie that would've improved the skit greatly. (Well, for us... I guess it doesn't matter to the rest of the audience.)
Or to put it another way: Imagine how amazing this would've been with a pie from the classic "Barbara Mandrell" skit. Or alternately... Imagine how crappy that Barbara Mandrell skit would've been with cheap shaving cream pies.

The type of pie thing has never bothered me, just as long as there's decent coverage. Which there was.
The only thing that kinda bugs me is, I wonder if they shot the alternate scene with Madison getting it too. if you watch right before she gets pied there's an obvious big edit where they could've easily inserted an alternate result.
