OK this Pie Insurance advertising campaign has me excited, even if no hot females have gotten it yet. On the plus side there are at least three commercials out there already and if they deem it a good campaign they will need new versions...and at some point its got to include one of interest to us...doesn't it?

Well, either way, Im feeling that we're going to see some decent mainstream pies in the months ahead. Here's my rationale: pies have been so out of favor for so long that we're overdue for them to be "funny" again. We are probably almost 20 years into an era where PC, and pie fights relating more to a bygone era made them 'uncool" and "unfunny" to people who make these decisions...but now I think the pendulum could swing back again. A pie in the face can still have shock value and humor value, both of which are in demand in the advertising world and in films and TV shows.

Another factor...we are in a "look at me" attention whore era like never before. In pro sports, losing team members celebrate excessively after a routine play. Trash talk takes priority over substance. And what says" I don't respect you" more than a big cream pie in the kisser.

HJey, I dont have any evidence this will happen but I am a glass half full guy. Or a pie tin half ful with the other half splattered over the face and hair of a gorgeous woman.

Here's to a great mainstream pie scene or two in 2020!

I had to google "Pie Insurance" because I didn't know what you were referring to. I found a commercial where two men portrayed as dopes (surprise!) are hit with pies.

Yeah, I suppose it's possible that this could ignite a wave of mainstream pie-ings in the U.S.

Maybe this summer we'll see a pie-ing craze similar to the ice bucket challenge from several years ago. Who knows?




Final thought: If two women were hit with pies the commercial would probably be receiving a very angry response.
