A thrown pie alway looks better and seems to make a better impact when it is thrown after being taken out of the tin. Watching the cream hit while the pie crust disintegrates is a wonderful thing.
Just curious as to why so many videos show the pie being thrown while still inside the tin? I would think there is a risk of the tin cutting the model and quite often the tin sticks to the face obstructing the view. I remember Lenny of "PieVids" usually removing the tin before the pie is thrown and his videos were among the best.
Good points, but sometimes the tins add to it... like leaving it on top like a hat. Or leaving them stuck to somebody's face for them to act indignant and remove. Or, for a silly message to be written on either before or after thrown!

Definetly with the tin, no matter if thrown or shoved/pushed. Unfortunately though we dont have this graham cracker crust inside a tin here in Germany. I usually need to get a seperate crust and crumble it into the tin
