Yes. I bought this on Super 8 film back in 1976 at a JC Penny. I think it cost me about 3 days of pay from mowing lawns, but it was great watching it. Of course you couldn't 'enjoy' something like this as much as vids today because you had to keep an eye on the projector; at least mine anyway, as it had a habit of chewing up or burning film.
The young blonde in the middle of the photo sequences looks a bit like Alice Faye...she takes a great hit,; wonder if the images could be digitally sharpened somehow.

I know what you mean about having to keep an eye on the projector! My wife took home movies in 8 mm (before Super 8), then in super 8 later. Every time we watched a movie, a few more frames went up in smoke! We finally got everything transferred over to VHS! Then DVD's!
I have/had an old hand-cranked, 16 mm projector, and a few films from my grandparents. (I'm not sure if it's still around after moving many times). One of the films stars Mabel Normand, but it's been so long since I've seen it, I don't remember which one. And when I was watching it as a kid, I didn't know who Mabel was. All I knew was that a lovely lady was getting wet from getting squirted. I loved it! :lovestruck:

The pie hit on the blonde is my absolute favorite! Perfectly fits my choice of pie target. Simply, a pretty girl being in the 'wrong' place and not really deserving it but getting pied none the less.
Such a perfect pie fight and probably the first one with so many beautiful women pied so well. Yes, Mabel Normand and others were pied in Keystone films 100 years ago, but it was this film in '35 that helped cement all the things we remember about Keystone Studios/Kops. We're very fortunate that this film survives in such great shape.
I completely agree with Clinton77 and his assessment of the "wrong place, wrong time" pieing of the beautiful blonde, but I absolutely LOVE the first pieing. Perfect line given by the bitchy blonde: "How dare you give it to her when I should get it!"
Also great to see that still! Definitely new to me. Very clear and looks like a "behind the scenes" photo taken between pie hits.
Does anyone else remember a pasta commercial (Rigoletto maybe?) from the mid 90s that featured moments of this pie fight appearing? I specifically saw it on The Family Channel during an evening viewing of "Stooge TV" (so the black and white pie hits to the women really caught my attention).
Just serendipitously, saw this Shasta Root Beer "foam" commercial with a Keystone Kops feel to it. It's fakey and low quality, but makes for an "OK" GIF https://youtu.be/Y_cZUzK_dqY
