I was curious what the rest of the community thought about this. I have seen far too many pie hits ruined by long hair. When the models hair covers one side of their face and after a hit they pull it back and reveal that half their face is clean, ugh, drives me crazy. Also when a girl ends up face down in a cake and her hair drapes over the sides so far that all you see is hair, pretty much ruined for me.
Very curious if I am the minority here on this subject .
Well.......I have actually been noticing that a lot more people within this community have started doing lots of Hair Wam and and/or focusing on it and therefore might appreciate it or like it! Just look at Rich's post today, he released a new scene where the models hair is talked about and treated with lots of slime. I for one never paid much attention to it until recently when I met someone online who was VERY into it. Let me say that when done correctly, it can be HOT! In your examples it is very possible that the reason that the girls hair covered half her face in the cake is because she likes it that way or the person shooting the video likes it that way, the Hair Wam thing. I am with you, I love seeing a hot women's face destroyed with pies or cakes or slime..........but having her hair also get the mess is just that much hotter! Just my two cents!
Long hair *can* get in the way of things but I think the potential gains far outweigh the possibility of the hair ruining things. Risk vs rewards, I say long hair is definitely a boon.
Hair up or in a swimcap can detract from a scene, for some it kills it entirely (not me, but others).
When the long hair gets properly covered, the results can be fantastic (see below)
Worst enemy! Well, for me anyway. I prefer models to have their hair tied back or in pigtails, leaving the face for full coverage. A particular pet hate of mine is when the hair blocks an otherwise perfect pie sandwich. It's the same with gunge/slime scenes as well, I don't like the hair forming a 'curtain' blocking facial coverage.
Long hair absolutely! The model should be framing her face with a beautiful mane of hair which makes the pie hit that much better. Nothing beats a totally pied face with the pie splattering down her hair! And there is also some wonderful hair WAMMERS on this forum (see janderson for one :thumbsup where cream pies are king.
Any Crystal from Serenity Sweet looked wonderful with pie streaming down her hair!!

Mapwhap1 said: My main contention is that the hair, whether long or short, must be included in the WAM for the scene to work for me. I don't care if it's long, short, straight, curly, down or up.....if the scene (and I mainly speak of pies here) doesn't include some getting in her hair, then I generally don't care for the scene.
I specifically despise scenes where it is obvious that the woman is making sure NOT to get it in her hair by putting her hands in the way, and having the other person just gently place the pie on the face. In the eternal words of Statler and Waldorf, "BOOO!!! BOOO!!!!"
Pie splatter in the hair is awesome. Rich does this well. Ken also. And Messygirl. Just to name a few.
I echo this whole statement. Well said. If there is no messy hair in the scene, I don't buy the scene. Plain and simple.
I love when there is total face coverage and the hair remains clean and un-messed. That being said, it doesn't kill a scene for me if the lady's hair gets messy also.
I love messy or wet hair hanging over a model's face! It just looks like total destruction when I see that! If the hair keeps mess from actually getting on the face, then the mess needs to be pushed under or around the hair so that it also hits the face! :lovestruck:
I also find the nape of the neck to be a highly erogenous zone! So hair that's tied up or back works for me, too, as long as the face and the hair do get messy!
