I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the best types or brands to use for results like the picture attached (which is from Splat Challenges' Instagram). I've only ever pied myself with crusts once and it didn't go to well. The cheap graham cracker crusts barley stuck to my face and it all almost immediately fell off. I've been interest in trying again so please let me know.
Honestly, I've found a lot of use out of the generic Walmart pie crusts. Don't get the graham cracker, as it falls apart too easily and becomes a pain to clean.
What I do is rub a thin layer of water around the crust and bake it until it turns deep brown to black. The pieces are large and break apart quite well. Along with the Walmart brand cool whip, I can make pies for under a dollar each, and they look and feel so good. I get a large tub of cool whip and it makes for two pies.
I've been pondering unbaked crust. Something to keep the filling from sticking to the tin and yet not be abrasive when one thing leads to another...thoughts?

Crusts are definitely great for getting everything on the tin off. When I tried a graham cracker crust, it mostly fell off my face and on to my chest (which still felt great), but wasn't the result I was hoping for. The crust wasn't abrasive at all. Everyone is different so I think the only way to figure out what you prefer is to try it yourself. That's how I learned oily stuff like cool whip makes my skin break out, or to go for sensitive skin shaving cream because regular will start to burn if you leave it on too long.
