I am looking to throw non tinned crust pies at my wife. But I do not know what to buy or if there's anything special to do. I live in western New York state if that helps anyone with grocery chains. Otherwise advice on what crusts or whatnot to buy and what to do would be amazing. Is there something special to look for? Thanks !
Mrs. Smith's are expensive but they won't break, so I think it's worth the money for you.
Let them thaw out for an hour, poke holes with a fork, bake about 11 minutes or so. Let them cool completely, then if you tip the tin over the crust should slide out. Just fill it right before you want to use it. (It's best not to let crusts sit out for hours when filled as they eventually break.)
