So there was one more Green Room shoot I did at the end of February that I haven't had a chance to share until now. Joining me was a tall, beautful, 18-year-old Latina girl named Destiny. Wearing a pair of bookish librarian glasses, she did some super goofy pie poses, with her tongue sticking out and her eyes crossed.

Amidst the 10 big pies and 2 slimings, two really awesome things stick out from this shoot. One was the insane self-pie sandwiches that Destiny gave herself. At some point in the middle of the shoot, I filled up two recycled pie tins for her to hold. I counted to three, and she just went to town smashing them against her face with explosive force. The residue is still on the ceiling from that.

The other awesome thing was the mega green sliming she took. There was all this gunge on the floor from the previous day's shoots which I had collected in a bucket. It was this disgusting mix of cake batter, oatmeal, pudding & pie crusts, and it had kinda "baked" together in this gross way (but didn't have a foul odor just yet). Mixed together, it was cement gray in color, so I added three whole 1 oz bottles of green food dye to make it dark vivid green. Adding in some water, the result was a super heavy, super gross sliming that practically overwhelmed Destiny!

You can look forward to this scene in a few weeks, while this week I'll be releasing Rena's scene for you. Oh, and FYI, I filmed a new Pie Zone gameshow episode on Sunday with another supercute girl, but I'll get that in another post

I should also tell you- Destiny was really into doing a girl vs. girl pie fight video (it was her idea ). I had something vaguely in mind for the future, but to see her bring it up on her own, and talk about it so excitedly, I immediately started to envision what the background imagery would look like (I have another spare painting panel ready to use). So that might very well be the next idea I do, a "Pie Battle" video...or maybe even "Bikini Pie Battle"...kinda like the ring of that

Agreed! Loving these news shoots by the way, and I especially loved the nod to us "slime-first snobs" with the Nasiha shoot. She was great. Another slime first scene with her and Destiny where they blame each other for getting slimed and subsequently pie the hell out of each other would guarantee my wallet to become lighter. Awesome debut!

It sounds like these are important to you but, I gotta say, these busy backdrops distract from the messy action.

I disagree. Shower curtains and trash bag walls are a dime a dozen - and a dead giveaway that it's a "shoot", rather than allowing for the suspension of disbelief that this is actually some sort of TV show.

Obviously nothing is ever 100% for everyone, but the results so for, i.e. sales, are telling me I'm on a good path with this.

It's funny because the idea for the backgrounds and making it more of an art production was like a way to trick myself into actually making these videos. I was turning on the camera and filming my wife in private for a while. Eventually I started to think it would be AWESOME to shoot other girls too. But I guess I felt kinda sleazy about that...it's when the idea became an "art project" to me...and it really is an extension of everything else I've been doing for a long time...that's when this all started happening.

The backdrops certainly aren't a dealbreaker. I just hope you're flexible enough to accommodate that slime wrestling Nasiha asked for....!

I've gotta say, I don't comment much on stuff, but this I'm really impressed with. Not since the YCDTOTI videos have I seen this much effort put in to try and reproduce the kind of TV show format that (I suspect) got a lot of us into this. The reactions are great, it's well lit & shot, the pies are huge and the results are brilliant (The re-cap of every hit at the end was the icing on the cake). I really hope this work is supported as, in a time of increasingly 'web-cam-esq' / conceived, shot and uploaded in an afternoon material, there isn't so much of the staged, considered and well executed variety. Highly recommend!!
