In my area, Covid seems to have killed all the Pi Day fun. The local United Way used to do a fundraiser where people got pied, and my favorite was a little coffee shop that did a promotion where you could spin a wheel for either a free slice of homemade pie or a plate of whipped cream to the face.
I'm sure the United Way thing will come back at some point, but sadly, like so many small businesses, that coffee shop doesn't appear to have survived the pandemic.
