Dude, thanks for the effort, but you might want to re-do that .gif as it cuts just after the hit, with no aftermath (granted, the camera moves in for a close up, but this should still be 'giffable').
In that episode, Patty gets a job as a model. She is kind of braggy about it, and makes a comment to her dad that "All I have to do is look glamorous!"
When she goes to shoot it, she gets a pie in the face, gets water dumped on her, & gets dropped out of a hammock into a pool of water (iirc). She goes home very discouraged, because the photos are going to be in some sort of a school magazine, and she's sure she going to be ridiculed by everyone at school.
When it comes out, everyone's telling her how cool it is, and what a great job she did. It turns out it was for an ad campaign to stop people from dropping out of high school, done is a humorous way. Her boyfriend even tells her what a great service she's done. So then she's proud of it!
I had a major crush on Patty Duke during her time on "The Patty Duke Show"! She was young (about 19 or 20) and uber-cute! :lovestruck:
Then when I saw this episode, it cemented in my mind the images of Patty getting pied and watered, and she was immediately a "slapstick queen" in my book!

Can't find it on the Tube and don't see it airing in my area at the moment, but glad to finally know what to look for! On the plus side, through serendipity I did find another clip I was looking for from the same era -- the messy kitchen painting scene from "The Donna Reed Show"! I was checking out the show on IMDB and it seems to actually be episode #26 for "The Perfect Teenager".
Thanks again! My IMDB appears to be different than yours, Norm I don't have Antenna TV, but looking at this listing from Philadelphia's Comcast page http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/watch/The-Patty-Duke-Show/6935413061504340112/full-episodes#filter=tv&episode=5930018585155261112 it looks like they're in Season 3 right now (hope that's the same nationwide). Seeing as they air two episodes every weekday, this should air in a month or so. My calculations put it at Thursday, July 9th (or the next day if it's episode 26). WAM ALERT!! Lol. I won't ask anyone to put it on YouTube because I know some copyrighted things are risky and you never can tell really.
