Had a bit of a panic earlier at work. Browsing facebook on my work pc as it was quiet, and I see a sponsored advert for people to share their experiences of covid. No big deal, I think, click on it and it opens up the advert, the URL has "UMD" in it. Here's me thinking my cover is blown and I'm about to get a bollocking for viewing porn on a work computer, then I realise it's the University of Maryland that are doing the survey.

Phew...
I know it's probably a bit too late already but having a background in I.T. support for businesses I wouldn't recommend using your work computer again to access this site or any other adult sites work computers often have filters and trackers on them that log where they go to keep track of employees for just this reason and it can land you in a world of trouble with HR.
Best case scenario you get a writeup that gets in your work file worst case scenario you get fired

He didn't. He clicked a link from Facebook which went to a University of Maryland URL. Famously, they are the "other" UMD - umd dot edu. So "umd" appeared in the address bar. No adult sites were visited, just a moment of shock/surprise.

Had something similar happen to me opening an email
One cool thing I've learned is type umd.edu in case
I believe I saw a post on the university of Maryland subreddit or something about how there is a porn site called umd and they need to make sure to sent the correct URL because a few students and professors linked here by accident!
