Hey, I was wondering if there was a good recipe for a metallic paint to use for mess. I know that olive oil is one ingredient, I'm just looking to find a powder that will be good and safe to use for total coverage (even the eyes!).
Mehron metallic powders (Google for stockists in your region). The pots are tiny but very concentrated. Use with baby oil or olive oil. Gets everywhere. Be warned.
Amazing effects when clashing with water based substances like treacle.

I'm totally agree!!!! you can use coconut oil too,it gives a nice perfume to the model...

Being alcohol-based, I don't think that the mixing liquid should be used in/near the eyes though...
I can only agree with Paintyandy on that. With the Mehron mixing liquid, the color holds extremely well, but also goes hard again. Do not use in the eyes! I prefer the mixture Mehron Powder with oil.

It's designed to go on skin without causing any harm. Mixed with edible oil I don't imagine it would do you too much harm if you accidentally ingested a tiny amount.
messyman556 said: Gotcha. Lastly how much can I expect to make out of a single bottle?
With the mixing liquid (for drying) the advice is 2 bottles per body. With oil it seems to go further. 1 bottle was enough with about a litre of oil. When you see the bottle, you won't believe it but it does! (See profile pic with Lily Ace - entire body and hair were covered)

Don't drink it, though, eh!
That makes me curious if mehron paint is what the japanese wam producers are using, or something else. There was at least one video where a model was consuming far more than just a little of a paint/oil mix. But I'm also aware that Japanese wam videos occasionally use substances that are outright toxic period, so I wouldn't be shocked if safety was likewise being ignored in this case. It's unfortunate that they don't seem to care about their stars to the extent producers in other countries do.

Probably is. Or another brand name of the same thing. It's just a pigment powder. It only mixes effectively with oil. It reminds me (mixed as a paint) of those solvent based Airfix/Humbrol model aircraft paints from back in the day - you had to keep it mobile and mixed or the pigment would settle. They were mixed with a highly flammable petroleum spirit though. I would imagine those Japanese videos used an edible oil otherwise the fumes alone would simply be too intolerable for the model to even work and the consequences don't bear contemplation - not to mention unethical and probably illegal.
My advice, as a humane and responsible adult, is DON'T deliberately ingest any kind of paint. I don't imagine consuming a bit of metallic body powder with olive oil is going to actually poison anyone - but I really recommend strongly not to try it.

Truly they did not use the Mehron since it is expensive for a large quantity. I have found that they may just simply used the normal bronze powder or aluminum powder(Usually used in paintings, coatings or printings and are not specially designed for cosmetic uses) mixed with vegetable or baby oil. I remember that some of the Japanese WAM videos features the scenes that the actresses mixed the metallic paint and you can find those powders are just normal stuffs with labels named "BRONZE POWDER" or "ALUMINIUM POWDER" on the packet. Some Japanese WAMers on Twitter(one of them is @Mewleticia, who has an account here and she posted a picture of the aluminium powder & oil on Twitter years ago) also employed such method.
One brand of such powder is Gold Leaf Metallic Powder, which can be bought on their website and is recommended by @SilverBlue(He also said that messygirl.com uses this brand). I think they may not that dangerous as long as you do not ingest them(I haven't try them but i have a plan to use such powders as the messy metarial because they seems easier to get a metallic view than Mehron and is cheaper, about US $29 for one pound). But yes, Japanese WAM videos always feature the scenes that the girls have those mixtures in their mouths and i think it is not safe to imitate such behavior since those powders are pure metallic and they may harm your organs if you ingest them.
