Paint parties can be a lot of fun!

So if you want to get drippingly covered, you'll probably want/need to be right down in front. That means showing up as early as possible, right when the doors open. Get down front in front of the stage and stake out a spot. Then, don't move. The downside is that the doors usually open about 3 hours before the actual paint spraying starts. So I hope you enjoy techno because you are going to have to be down there for a couple hours with no paint.

Once the paint spraying starts the fun begins! Glasses or sunglasses can keep it from getting directly in your eyes. Keep a rag or some paper towels in a ziploc in your pocket so you can wipe your hands and eyes if needed. Keep your phone in a ziploc too.

These venues almost never have a way to wash up after. The paint is water soluble so it's easy to shower off but you have to have a way to get to a shower. Bring a long sleeve shirt and pants in your car plus a gallon of water and paper towels. Clean up your head and hands as best you can. Change into your "cover up" clothes for the drive home. Good idea to bring a painter's tarp to cover your car seat just in case you have stray paint on you.

When I was in college I was invited to a foam party (not sure if people still do those) but it was at a really sketchy frat house so I didn't go. I would love to host a party like that but I don't exactly have a good location to do so.
