Hello all! I know this has been asked before but having trawled through many previous forum posts, I still can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I'm after a secluded outdoor mud spot in south UK Preferably thick, deep, creamy mud with somewhere near by to wash off. I was hoping someone could give me a specific location, rather than a generalization. I want to be able to go straight there and get muddy, not spend all day looking for the place! Am I asking too much? Probably! But you never know, hopefully some kind person can help. Thank you!

The problem is if anyone gives an exact location that massively increases the risks, including: Random people turning up to watch, random predators turning up to assault someone, random idiots deciding it's a great place to shoot a pie scene, leaving pie tins and other litter all over the place, which then get eaten by cows, causing at least one of them to die, resulting in the next people who try and play in the same mud being chased off by an angry famer with dogs and a shotgun (this actually happened some years ago).
Also depends on what counts as "South", from way up here on the high moors of Langstonedale Chase in North Yorkshire pretty much anything beyond Birmingham is "Here be dragons", though I do know a few places that fit what you're after to some extent on the Avon near Bristol. Mud locations also change with seasons and from one year to the next, so to an extent if you want to play in the mud you do need to be willing to spend a few days exploring and studying maps to find suitable places, work out access routes, clean up options, etc.
You might find someone willing to share locations by PM even if they won't in a forum thread. Though the places I visit aren't useful to this thread (I'm in Scotland), I've told a handful of people about them and as far as I know it's only resulted in one other person visiting so far, and that's been no problem. Only relatively small proportion of people who like the idea of going mudding will actually go through with it.
Isla, i do have the ideal type of place but sadly its not down your way and its not at my filming location either. is this for just you or have you bigger plans?

i am happy to share it with you over DM however
You can message either here or Twitter it was potentially for a private session so I can understand people's reluctance to share. However, only seeing if its possible at the moment. Nothing might come of it. Any information greatly received.
I think these things are sometimes just rsndom. I used to run a lot, often. around the nearby park. Sometimes, after heavy rain, the rugby pitches were a total quagmire. I used to run and slip through three inches of wet and slime. Loved it. And great for a mudbath.
