Does anyone know who else was gunged on this show? I didn't watch it back when it was on and the only ones that i know of are on youtube such as the actor who played Ace Lightening, Dick and Dom and 2 lads from Blazin Squad. There must have been more gungings from this show but i've never heard or seen anything.
Devon Anderson (who played Billy Jackson in EastEnders and Sonny Valentine in Hollyoaks) was gunged in thick blue gunge. Not a bad gunging - he was wearing a white trackie and silver bling (love that). Shame though as he wore a shower cap to protect his cornrows hairstyle.
But they were the only ones - the Gunge tank section was only for the last month and was literally just: Tom Wansey, Blazin Squad boys, Devon and Dick and Dom. Devons was the only single gunging.
I never knew they only had a gunge tank towards the end, seems strange as i think this took over Live and Kicking who also had a gunge tank towards the end. I've always wanted to see the full blazin squad video with the build up but to my knowledge it's never appeared.
There was a football related segment with Blazin Squad attacking each other with buckets of mud/gunge once. From memory it was a bit chaotic, but I'd love to see that again.

Yep - it was very late towards the end of the Fern Cotton/Simon Grant show where the Gunge tank made its first appearance. This was June 2003ish. The Gunge tank returned to the rebooted version of The Saturday Show in 2004 but only gunged the presenters and parents/older siblings and hardly ever celebrities (although Kemal from Big Brother 6 was gunged).
Live and Kicking only gunged celebrities towards the end of its run (including my faves Lee Ryan, Ben Adams, Bubble from Big Brother and Andre from Damage). Before they just gunged audience members and occasionally the presenters.
Shame that so many early 2000s celebs missed the gunge on these shows.
Would have lived to have seen celebs like Westlife, Gareth Gates (although he has been in a bath of baked beans for Comic Relief), Philip Olivier, Jon Lee, Vernon Kay and 911 get it on a Saturday morning.

It was a game where celebrities had to guess the price of everyday items such as stamps, milk etc to see how "in touch" they were with the "everyday world". It was obviously rigged for Devon Anderson to be gunged as he gave ridiculous answers so he would lose.
Live and Kicking had Gary Lucy in a gunge tank but he got to escape as it was the last in the series and they gunged Heather Suttie instead. Just what were the producers thinking? They missed the greatest ever opportunity to gunk a hunk
I don't remember Westlife being part of it - I think it was Jennie McAlpine (Fiz in Corrie), MoyBrady (who was in The Bill playing Robbie Cryer) and it was either Jamie Sweeney or Danny Young who was also in Ker-Ching (CBBC show) at the same time as Devon. Can't remember which as both actors look similar. Danny Young would go on later to be gunged himself though in the tank on MOM.
Remember Devon saying that the gunge was gooey.
Westlife did get messy on Ckmic Relief this year as they were sprayed with red paint in their white suits while singing their latest song. Brian McFadden in particular laughed throughout.
What I would like to see is some CBBC Comic Relief Fame Academy gungings - never saw them as they were on digital at the time but I think Jake Humphrey, David Sneddon and Malachi Cush were gunged as part of the show for failing a mission. Would love to have seen that.
So wish this would surface. Never seen it and would love to see certain ones gunged who never got it again on other segments.
