Well technically it's not an allergy, it's called alcohol flush syndrome and my liver does not produce the enzyme that breaks down a toxic bi-product of ethanol called acetaldehyde which is what makes people feel hung over. Some people with this condition can still drink and may just get a little sick but mine is very extreme and if I have even small amounts of alcohol I feel like I'm dying. My body doesn't tolerate most yummy things like dairy fat, gluten & soy either This is one of several reasons why I am not passing on my genes, I think that would just be mean, lol.
