I've used shaving cream and clay mostly for solo sessions, want to try Nutella next. Looking for tips for quick (as possible) clean up.
Also looking to get your experiences in time it takes to clean up. Obviously time is a factor when I have my sessions.
Thanks in advance!
For both Nutella and Peanut Butter, I like to first scrape off what I can back into the container. Then I use a grease-cutting dish soap, which does a good job. I follow up with a normal soap wash.
Taking off the thickness first, then using the dish soap speeds up the process considerably.
I use Nutella and PB often enough, I use a hot tub to heat up the substance (usually I open the jars and take off any foil cover before putting the lid back on, then put them in trashbags and float those in the hot tub). If you don't have a hottub or a bath, you can microwave them but be careful - you don't want to get them too hot, and the foil on the top can spark in the microwave.
For prep, I use plastic dropsheets, and make sure to tape them down to the ground. If you have an inflatable pool or a soft mattress cover or something put that down, then the plastic drop sheet, then tape the dropsheet to the floor so you can move around and not bunch up the plastic.
I usually cut one more dropsheet into the size of about 2 towels and leave that by the mess area so I can stand on that and shuffle over to the shower after.
For body cleaning, once I'm done in the mess I typically use a large serving spoon that has a long flat handle, and I use the handle to scrape off the bulk of the mess before making it to the shower, I think this is one of the most important steps for cleanup as it saves you SOOOO much time in the shower, and you can scrape all of it off directly onto the dropsheet where you got messy.
I have a bunch of paper towels by the mess area to make sure I can clean my hands before making my way to the shower
In the shower itself, I usually have 2x luffas, body wash, dawn liquid dish soap, and a speaker in the shower since you'll be in there for a while. I use the paper towels mentioned earlier to clean my hands and turn on the speaker and play an audio book, music, or whatever floats your boat while cleaning up in the shower.
First just do a scrub down with dawn and the first loofa, repeat as needed. Once you're relatively clean, switch to body wash and the 'clean' 2nd loofa.
For ears, if you're not opposed to it I recommend wearing squishy ear plugs while getting messy because getting it out of the ears is always more hassle than it's worth (personal preference)
Edit - oh, if you're really concerned about ear coverage, you can also purchase disposable "ear shower caps" which are small bits of plastic to cover your ears, you can get a pack of like 300 for $5 on amazon
