It is ironic that so many great wetlook shows come from Central or South America, yet as far as I know there are ZERO wetlook fans from that continent. I have yet to meet any South American wetlook fans since Wamtec was created 31 years ago in 1991. I recently did a survey on my daily blog site, asking which continent fans came from, and the results to my survey were this:
81% of wetlook fans come from North America and Europe 14% come from South or Far East Asia 5% come from Australia/New Zealand 0% from Central and South America, Africa or the Middle East
Central and South Americans just don't seem to appreciate the great shows they have for wetlook scenes, nor the great pie game shows they have as well.
I uploaded a couple of my old 1990's clips from Argentina and Chile. I could only record them from my Sat Dish signals and in those days the sat tv broadcasts from that region were VERY low quality, but I saved what I could. It's a pity we did not have local wetlook fans on the ground to record the clips in better quality.
Yes, there is a lot of stuff out there nobody seems to mention and unfortunately not only from this region.
But at least someone from the 81%-area noticed that in January of this year in South-America a mature News-Lady (50+) made a bet with colleagues where the loser had to take a fully clothed bath ...
And the outcome is probably my personal "wetlook-scene of the year"
Beautiful mature Lady - check! Real mainstream scenario - check! No chicken out, no partial-wet stuff or any kind of cheating - check! Dry look and getting in - check! Staying in the water for some time - check! Wet glistening jeans - check! Wet hair - check! No male joining - check! Getting out 100% drenched - check! AND most important: Free clip in rather good qualitiy (720p) at Chilean TV-Station-Website https://www.chilevision.cl/contigo-en-la-manana/mejores-momentos/esta-exquisita-monserrat-alvarez-pago-una-apuesta-con-un-divertido
So that's an early Merry Christmas this year for all fans of wet jeans and real Ladies doing wetlook.
If it were not for the 81% from Europe and North America, and Youtube we would never get to see any of the thousands of great clips from Central and South America, because nobody from those regions is interested in spotting and sharing those clips.
We be thankful to Arthur C Clarke for imagining satellite communications and Telstar, the first satellite launched to broadcast tv signals across continents. When I first started taping shows we only had terrestrial tv signals so I could only record tv signals over the air within 50 miles of where I lived in London. We could not receive signals from continental Europe let alone North America,
Today we have global tv from around the world via satellite and streaming apps and thanks to Al Gore we now have the internet as well.
We have global coverage of tv media from all continents, but we only have wam and wetlook collectors and sharers from 2 of those continents.
