Minor annoyance, but just curious - seems like the 'night mode' login link has disappeared from the UMD.net page after the site refresh?
Before I'd hit UMD.net (black background page), select 'night mode' and go to the black background login page, then on to my account which is set to night mode / black background. (Yes, I probably should have cleaned that process up and just linked the night mode login... but 'old habits', right?!?!)
Either way, now it seems there is no way to avoid the stark white login page? ...no night mode link and the login link always goes to the white page?
My .02, I'd give the whole site a dark theme by default... really makes the photos pop! But bare minimum, is there a way to get to a 'night theme' login page?
So that's kind of weird. Cookies save all my preferences here. If I even come to the base site page it auto goes to "dark" (my preference). So, any other page I navigate is also dark. The only exceptions are store pages which don't have dark setting to begin with.
I'd recommend flushing your internet history and trying it again. Double check your profile preferences too. If it's still acting up toss MM a message.
Thanks to both for the input. Yes, I believe cookies do save the preference, but I have my browser set to delete all cookies on exit - so each time I visit, the site is 'new'. I double checked my preferences, and they're set to site wide 'night mode' but the login page is obviously before my login, so I'm sure it doesn't know my preferences at that point.
I do see there is an icon / link in the upper right corner of the login which does take me to 'night mode' but of course I always land on the non-night mode / stark white page first. lol - such a petty annoyance for me to mention, huh!
Looks like the easiest thing to do would be to just bookmark the 'night' page link:

Yeah, THAT would do it. Nice work around you came up with though!
