So I was watching my local news this morning and this happened - the girl is super cute but the pie hit was not so good. I just wish the news anchor at the desk could have been pied as well.
Cute reporter. I liked her attitude and willingness to get pied. Unfortunately, circus clowns seem to almost always use foam pies. Still I like how she takes it and wears it.
I could be wrong, but I think most circus clowns use foam or sponge "shells" that are easy to wash and reuse. They don't want the additional mess or cleanup of real crusts.
And same with the shaving cream... Not only does it basically turn to soap suds after a while, but they usually let the shaving cream sit forever. Advantage is it doesn't burn eyes this way... Disadvantage is that it doesn't stick at all.
Clowns are like Bizarro WAMmers... They use pies all the time, but in a way to cause as little actual mess as possible.
I mean, these two clips were HUGE in the WAM community back in the 90s. So much so that the poor plastered reporter now admits, "I have been privileged to meet and interview Nelson Mandela, The 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, Prime Ministers Brown, Blair, Major and Thatcher, then President Clinton and Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan.... It seems I am best remembered for getting a pie in my face!"
