So a member of UMD asked me to go to WAMChat.net the other night. I had no idea this place existed. I'm still kinda new to chat rooms and don't exactly know proper etiquette other than the rules that were posted on the site (like don't PM someone unless they say it's cool first in the main chat room. But even though I'm posting in the main chat and there are lots of people in the chat room, nobody's responding.

So my question is: how does all of this work and what should I do if I want to start conversations there?

Anyone who uses this chat, can you possibly give me some tips or pointers about how things go about here for a newby? I'd really appreciate it
