Earlier this year, my job was acquired, and my position is scheduled to be eliminated at the end of the year. So I've gotten another job, working nights, in maintenance, at a local store.
Most people would probably have a problem with the sights and smells, since I clean the fresh meat shelves, and am up to my elbows in chicken goo.
Some of the smells can be off-putting, too. Like if chicken goo runs into a crack and sits, it can become noxious. Fortunately, I have experience with weird smells.
Not long after I started, I was working by the cardboard disposal while it was being emptied, and a guy came up wondering what he should do with his cardboard before... he lost control of them and they hit me ... he throws it at the new guy. I just nonchalantly responded, I've had worse thrown at me.
