My shoots/sessions are usually very simple and basic with little or no scripted lines. However I am planning a shoot in a couple of weeks with three friends, none of whom have been pied before. I'm looking for a fun/simple idea for a scene to shoot with them. Something relatively simple and light. The only idea I have so far is a restaurant scene with a server and two customers.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.
There should be more History of the Jape/Joke videos. Simple, easy to do, the only lines are spoken by an off-screen narrator, great way to demonstrate the wide spectrum of pie hits.
It sounds like you have the basic set up already covered. A waitress who starts pieing the rude customers could work. Then the customers get some revenge before turning on each other ("This is all your fault, you said we should come here for dessert in the first place!"). Then you can step in with some thrown pies as the manager coming to put all three in their place for trashing the restaurant.
Me personally, I always like to have the manager/waitress pie the customers because they refused to stop smoking indoors (cigars, I'm not a fan of cigarettes or pot). Then they just continue to smoke throughout the pieing. This might not be possible for a litany of reasons (you don't like smoking, the actors don't like smoking, can't smoke indoors, etc.), but it's just an example. A self serving example, true, but an example nevertheless.
Conversely, the customers could be perfectly polite and the waitress could just be very clumsy. After accidentally pieing the guests a few too many times, the customers take matters into their own hands.

Question: how did the idea to shoot with your three friends come about? Did you ask them? Did they ask you? Are they into the fetish or just want to try something fun?
Given they've never been pied before, I would lean into that. Some ideas:
- Three friends answer a modeling ad looking for three slapstick models. The scene starts with their arrival to the hotel room. They open the door and see pies in a row and buckets of slime and a note. The note gives instructions which introduces what a slapstick model job means. They read out the instructions (turn on the camera, sit in the chairs in front of the plastic wall, pick up a pie, pie the girl next to you etc). They act very confused, not having a clue what it means to be a slapstick model. One of them gets into it and tells her friend to sit down, and pies her. Then they start having fun.
- Similar to above, but you're there as the producer and introduce the job. You offer $200 to the girl who throws the first pie. You protest, but then one friend gets mischievous and pies her friend. The non-pie thrower friends are shocked and then you start throwing pies at them. They protest and then you tell them they're not getting paid until they have a good time, at which point the pie-thrower picks up a bucket of slime and slimes herself. Then they all pie themselves etc.
- Similar to the above, but one of the friends has done this before, and has brought her friends along to try (this is a tried and true with Anglefan, messygirl etc, but always good).
