Please pardon me if I've posted this before I've search but I did not find the original thread. I am really looking for footage of this mud wrestling scene from "Io Jane, tu Tarzan" featuring Carmen Russo vs Celeste Johnson
A tough one to find, seeing as it is not a movie but was a 1989 4 part TV special on RAI, and they never release their tv stuff on DVD. I have also been looking for another Carmen Russo Italian wetlook tv special from 1994 for years, set at a waterpark, without success. All I have is a low res VHS copy and I would like to have a high res copy. Unfortunately her old tv clips are only posted at a crappy quality on Youtube....e.g. she did some nice paint gunging scenes and I would love to find a better copy than is on Youtube...i.e. this one.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOpUqz6lFiI
As for the mud scene in that Tarzan tv special....I am not sure Regis would rate it very highly, because all the still photos seem to indicate it was a lousy watery mud and not a good consistency, ala Vera Miles in "Tarzan's Hidden Jungle" or Leslie Caron in "Guns of Darkness".
That clip has reached Holy Grail status in my book due to the fact nobody can find it. Mind you I have some pretty good resources too. This clip, the ...All the Marbles Tv edit mud wrestling scene (which ive finally seen again thanks to Regis) and the infamous Missy Hyatt vs Sunshine WCCW mud wrestling match have been the hardest clips ive ever had to track down.
I dunno, the actual Carmen Russo scene could be too watery, but that one still is promising. I keep checking around every once in a while.
Now, I've researched the Missy Hyatt/Sunshine thing and I think the deal is just that the mud match didn't make it into the program that was broadcast, right? This is the event from that night (WCCW Parade of Champions III, May 4, 1986, staged at the Texas Stadium in Irving, TX), complete with opening and closing credits, nice even 90 minute length, and there's no mud match:
These two hour programs were all that were syndicated, right? Was there any kind of live broadcast, or were the people in the stadium that the night the only ones who ever saw the mud match? If there was a live feed I guess the clip could still surface from an off-air recording. If not, the possibility that the raw footage (recorded on what ... Beta SP?) has survived for 32 years seems dispiritingly small. Missy Hyatt must not have it, or she would've posted it online by now, I bet. The temptation to toss all the unused footage must've been strong, and anything that does survive is now owned by WWE, so you'd basically have to "turn" someone with access to the archives to get an answer, or a copy of any tape that exists.

Man, does that suck.
Thanks for the info Regis. I still have hope that the main topic clip will show up someday. As for the missy/sunshine match i seriously doubt it will ever see the light of day which is unfortunate because that match was everything that I liked in a wam match nice thick mud and full coverage you couldn't even tell the two girls apart by the end. There was also a second mud match the following year between sunshine and a woman named Raven I've seen only one still of that match though and it may have been a misprint. It actually could have been a picture of the Missy and sunshine match but due to the fact you couldn't tell the women apart I'm not too sure.
If some vintage WCCW fan is reading this and wants to correct my guesses about the production and distribution of the show, I'd welcome their thoughts on the survival chances of the Missy mud match.
(Just please don't engage me on any other aspect of pro wrestling, because that shit is boring as fuck.)
