I have a new friend who is interested in playing in the mud with me. (Yay!) But I have never scouted any good locations for this.
Does anyone have tips for how to do this? (Links to other discussions are welcome; I couldn't find any.)
Or if you know of any specific location around Dallas, Texas, please message me. (I assume we don't want to ruin a good spot by making it too widely known.) If it's a place that's "out in the open" (e.g., by White Rock Lake or the Trinity River), I guess feel free to post here. I prefer secluded, but I would like to build up a roster of places with good potential depending on how the weather has been.
Other than at some of the lakes at the end of summer when the water levels are way down, the only good mud more or less in the DFW area is at quarries and access at those quarries is very problematic. You might want to instead consider an inflatable pool and several bags of pottery clay from a bulk pottery supply company. If the inflatable pool won't work out for you where you live, just find a somewhat secluded place at an area lake...

Good tips! Thanks! I've been thinking that the kiddie pool with clay might be the better experience, but there is a certain satisfaction in finding a good outdoor spot.
