thinking about ordering some gunge and have a few questions for those familiar with them.
1. Can you adjust the thickness/thinness by the amount of water added to the powder? Can regular natrosol powder be made to be as thick as Thick or XtraThick powder by putting in less water? Xtra thick powder thinner with more water?
2. Once the powder is mixed with water and gunge made, can it be stored in buckets with tight lids for later use? Reused if gathered up and bucketed after a session (if it wasnt mixed with any other substances)?
3. Opinions and differences between the three types? Is the Xanthan gunge as good as Methylcellulose or Natrosol, or are you better off paying a little more for one of the other two?
Im considering ordering a few of each to see what I like best. Any opinions and criticizisms greatly appreciated

1. Yes, you can adjust the thickness by using more or less water. The extra thick gunge just has more power in it.
2. The gunge we use and supply will last up to around 7 to 10 days once mixed. Before breaking down and going battery. It can start to smell after that length of time as well. When we fill the Dunk Tank we have even had it up to 2 weeks.
3. Each of the different gunges have the differences. We have been using and supplying gunge for around 9 years and have tried most types. Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose is probably the easiest to mix. Don't get hung up on it having to be Natrosol. We've used 4 or 5 brands of Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose including Natrosol in 3 different grades. Each of the 3 grades of Natrosol produce a slightly different feel. Natrosl 250HR is easily obtainable hence that is the one people know. We found a different grade of Natrosol better, it had finer powder and a more opaque finish so coloured better. They are all slightly different. Our current batch of Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose produces a thick and opaque gunge in around 4 minutes of mixing. Some grades of Natrosol need to be left a few hours or even overnight to get the best thickness. Natrosol 250 produces a clear gunge and so does not colour as well as our current HEC which produces a opaque gunge giving solid colouring. Methyl Cellulose comes in numerous grades, we have tried around 4 or 5 and out of that only 1 mixed well. The others seemed to clump up unless you mixed a small amount with water into a best then dissolved it. We have had excellent results with Carboxy Methyl Cellulose, again this does come and quite a few different grades. We found Xantham Gum particularly difficult to mix, although it is very cheap and can be purchased in most supermarkets. We have also used Guar Gum which wasn't that easy to mix. Some of the gunges feel different on the skin if you tried them side by side.
Hydroxy Ethyl Celulose, Methyl Cellulose and Carboxy Methyl Cellulose are easy to clean. We found Xantham and particularly Guar Gum more difficult as it doesn't dissolve so well with water. The others just dissolve down with water.
