I agree with JedmessTN about *your* vision for the vid. If you're doing something that you want to have a "music video" kind of feel, then add music. Just be careful of copyrighted music. You could have to re-do the vid, or pay the record company money for use of their song.
However, if you're thinking, "No one wants to just hear me talk", I would beg to differ. The general consensus on here seems to be (I could be wrong) that people, for the most part, prefer the ambient sound of you talking, and the noises the mess makes. I've seen a lot of comments about the music only being there to cover up director's directions to the model(s), or extraneous background noise that's causing a problem (traffic, wind, a crying baby, a woman getting killed during Ohio Players recording session**, etc. )
I know that I prefer hearing you talk and hearing the splats, or drips or whatever sound the mess is making over generic 80's porn music!
Yeah music can ruin a video. I've seen countless football and boxing videos that would be great if there weren't some hiphop crap dubbed on. And music in the actual scene would be too reverby.
Music is more of a bandaid to cover un useable original audio, strong winds, noisy neighbors, and basically things that were beyond control of the situation which might detract from the clip. Most prefer the audio of you and the other girls as is but if we can't hear you and the background noise is too noticeable then add a soundtrack and delete the bad audio, call it a silent film clip. Your clips have been good as is, so I would say no with maybe one exception. Also fun tip for you and other producers when doing outdoor shoots with multiple girls outside using an iPhone or voice recorder closer to the girls but covered to avoid splash backs a great mic to get closer audio and reactions to replace in camera audio which may be too far away from the action to cancel out wind noise. Directional or shotgun mics like the Arzden series in the $250 range or the rhode video mic help a lot. The last suggestion was only if there were going to be more big outdoor shoots. Hope that opinion helps you and a few other producers.
