Yup the lake banks are muddy. Knee deep. Thank you, Chris512. Wondering why go at dark and is it safe to travel late at night? Would anybody be there? Sounds like there is a law against trespassing on public property. Risky.
Little pros with several cons.
Not secluded obviously, the muddy ground is rocky full of rocks, branches, possibly sharp obstacles underneath, bugs, and fishy-rotten egg stench.
I've been scoping out places when I hike in the greenbelts too! Haven't found anywhere great yet, lots of rocky/yucky/stick-filled/too out in the open spots. I'm jealous of all the UK guys with their huge coastal mud flats!
I haven't checked out the far left-right side of the main creek park, but are there also mud spots there too? Hopefully it is near bottomless and doesn't contain a lot of objects in the way...
