Does anybody recognize this photo? This Reddit discussion claims it's from a mainstream scene from the early '80s, but there aren't many other clues. (The two guesses therein, STRIPES and ROADIE, are wrong.)
If you zoom in, the logo on the girl's top appears to say "Roadie" and looks like the movie logo on the IMDB link ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081433/ )

That's clearly the Reddit logic, except that ROADIE doesn't have a mud wrestling scene, and I don't think the shirt from the poster design is actually featured in the movie (correct me on these points if anyone has seen it more recently than I have). Plus the word on the mud wrestler's shirt looks like it ends with an S, no?
Amazingly, I found it: DOGS OF HELL (1983). The blonde chick takes off the t-shirt before the scene starts and wrestles in a bikini, but note the neon sign in the background ("The Underground") that matches the still. The second frame shows the same wrestler (I think) after she gets destroyed in the mud.
Dangit -- thought maybe this was a clue to an undiscovered scene.

Is there a link to the film? I tried looking it up on IMDB but the only movie I could find was a movie about killer dogs. Unless that is in fact the movie.
That is in fact the movie. Cheesy exploitation pic shot in North Carolina (note that the logo on the blonde's shirt appears to have the name of a town in N.C. at the bottom). Never released on DVD, but there are VHS rips on the torrent sites and the mud scene was on a Wamtec cliptape (not that any of that is immediately helpful). Shit, now that the disc is already in my laptop, maybe I'll clip the scene and upload it to YT after my nap.
Well, good. Another decent early 80s redneck bar mudwrestling movie: KISS MY GRITS. Here's part of the scene, but the best footage is in the opening credits, which I don't see on YT.
(cringe) (shame) Oh, that phrase "kiss my grits". For anyone alive in the late 1970s to early 1980s, anyone who lived through that television show "Alice", how embarrassed we all are that we ever used it. Let's hope for an alien species to come down and erase it all from our collective memory, making us all forget that we ever used it.
Speaking of "Take this Job and Shove It" (1981), last week that movie was on the "This" network and I was able to capture the mud scenes. Unfortunately, the main mud brawl has too many minors in it to post via UMD. But here at least are a couple of gifs (about 5.5 MB each). That's Barbara Hershey rolling and smooching in the mud with Robert Hays, and later removing her bra while they make out on a bed.
That TAKE THIS JOB AND SHOVE IT is one of the great missed mainstream opportunities, in terms of the scale of the scene vs. the paltry yield of wankable shots of babes in the mud. (I could watch that first gif on repeat for a while, though!) The aftermath scene with Barbara is nice if you can do almost-dried mud.
While we're doing general 80s mud wrestling craze nostalgia .... Here's a behind-the-scenes pic from ALL THE MARBLES... that I found on Susan Mechsner's Facebook page. (She was also one of the mud wrestlers in STRIPES -- the one who says "You hit me and I'm a girl!" to John Candy. Damn, she was hot.)

This film is also know as Rottweiler. It was shot in 3d. I have a 35mm 3D print of this film in my collection.
