For is here in the UK, the nights are drawing in and the weather is getting a hint that autumn will soon to here. It also draws a close (for the most part) on mud season.
But then what?
As a person, who doesn't use mud, as im more a sweet messy person. It got me thinking (you've done this thinking malarkey before, its getting a habit).
As mud is mainly a seasonal outdoor thing, do people who enjoy it, also enjoy other type of mess? As a sort of backup, when muds not available?
Or are they a kind of seasonal wammer?
I could be completely wrong and they rnjoy mud all year, even if is freezing their bits off.
I'm 99% exclusively a mud person and I consider about now, with the current climate, the START of a decent mud season. Rain is more reliable so there tends to be a lot more mud around than in these crazy dry summers that seem to be the norm now. I mean (I'm UK) how cold does it actually get these days? I think I counted about six frosts in total last winter. Bring it on!
I've built a mud room inside.. heated mud and hot shower all year round.. no insects or getting seen.. Also much less work than remixing anything for each session..
For me, getting muddy fully-clothed is where it's at, so I enjoy mud all year - if it's cold I just put on a puffa jacket over my normal jeans and hoodie, and if I happen to get stuck on a muddy path or slip over in a puddle, well, too bad for the jacket
Pics were all taken on autumn / winter muddy walks.
