I saw some pictures on Facebook of our local disused canal being cleared out so I thought I would investigate. Driving to a point nearby I parked up. There was one empty car nearby so I knew someone was around. I stripped off and put on some clothes that could get muddy, locked the car and then realised the car was not empty at all. Oh well, too late to bother about that. I went for a walk to find they had dredged all the silt out from the canal and poured it into pits alongside the canal. Oh my, it was so tempting. However, as I was looking for a way in some people came past walking their dog and I chickened out. If someone is braver than me I can let them have the exact co-ordinates. It is between Nottingham and Grantham in the UK.
If it was me I'd consider going either very early morning or late at night with lighting or even by the light of the moon. Mind you, it would need to warm up a bit! By which time it might have dried up. Flippin public! Maybe you could collect a few bucketloads for an indoor session?
