After discovering deep mud at a reservoir near me last summer, I want to explore other mudding opportunities. Two questions:
1) Has anybody ever been in those hotel spa mud tubs you see on TV where it's a big bath of really nice mud? I wondered if such a spa exists in Southern Scotland or Northern England?
2) Does anybody know of any good places for muddy play on the Solway Firth? Somewhere secluded, where beachgoers or hunters are not likely to see you and not dangerous, as I know people have lost their lives out there.....
I remember, some years ago, I had an insatiable desire to dive into the mud! I used to run/jog then. One winter, after heavy snow had thawed, the rugby pitches in the park were saturated!
I jogged down early one morning, still dark. Into the park, I stripped off my running gear and slid into the mud in my trunks!
Then dressed, back home with no one the wiser!
Seriously though, watch out for the cold, because you can easily get hypothermia when it is cold.
