I've always wanted to wallow in a deep mud pit but I don't know where I can find one! Does anyone know of any mud pits in Southern California I'd really appreciate the help!

The place you really want is the new Salton Sea mud volcano field near Mullet Island.

I heard about that place I want to definitely try it! But the drive is 3 hours so I'll have to plan a day out of it

Ugh I wish I lived out there im literally on the other side of the US lol

I'd be willing to join up on an expedition. The mud map doesn't have that many spots down this-a-way. I also read that the Mullet Island area out by the Salton Sea has been fenced off but haven't verified.

There is now a locked gate on the road leading to it but you can walk or get there by canoe/kayak.

I live in the Brea/ Fullerton area
