French actress Adele Haenel douses herself with red paint in a short scene from 2016 German-Austrian movie "Die Blumen von gestern" (eng: "The Bloom of Yesterday").

Why does she do that?

They have a work meeting and the guy gets angry (because, among other things, she slept with his boss) and storms off. She tries to catch him on the street but he keeps dismissing her, and so in the heat of the moment, she grabs the paint can and pours it on herself to make him stop and help her. In the next scene the two have a discussion at dinner in a restaurant. There he says something like that he's surprised that she managed to get the paint out of her hair.
