I have a new curiosity that I would like to explore. I'm also the type of person that learns from my mistakes and will now research a substance to death before I play with it.

That being said, has anyone had any issues with large amounts of molasses? Around 10 gallons or so.

Any information would be helpful, but particular questions are as follows:
Easy to clean out of hair and off skin?
Lingering smells?
Will it stain skin or my bathtub?
Will it mess with my septic tank or plumbing if I let it go down the tub drain?
What's the best way to dispose if 10 or so gallons of molasses?

Now, one more question about the lingering smell. Is that a smell that sticks to you? Or is it a smell that lingers in the area that it was used?

I rather not walk around smelling like burn sugar.

Having done a gallon of molasses myself, it took another day or so to work itself out of my pores even after vigorous hot soapy showers.

Yes!!! they had one of most sexiest scenes with Jayce and Dixie in a pool of Molasses with dresses and pantyhose....

Thank you all for the replies. I'm content with the clean up responses and feel confident I won't be walking around with sticky hair clumps for days afterward.

Do to everyone's mixed experience/response in regards to smell, I'm going to go ahead and give it a small test run.
