Those look awesome. Just out of curiosity - are PAL tapes convertible to a digital format? For example, could one expect a higher quality video experience than what is currently on offer from the messyfun old download store, if one bought the tape and had it professionally digitized?

yes. I just got 6 of my old hi8 messy video tapes digitized and the result is pretty good, even pumped up to 1280px resolution.

As a producer myself I think I would be a bit miffed if someone else did this with my clips without asking.
If the original producer gives me the ok I'm happy to list them on eBay as I appreciate they are a collectors item to some people.
Mudcole.
Are you referring to selling the tapes or the digitization? As far as selling the tapes, I think you are fine. No different than selling an old music CD or DVD movie, you are selling a physical object that you no longer possess.
