Hi, I have a video I want to upload and share, the problem is its over 1gb in size, I can upload it but it would take hours at about 10% every half hour or, does anyone know a way of making a video file smaller to make upload process smoother?

What format is the file in? And what resolution, and bitrate?

For publication you want mp4 format, and assuming 1080p, no more than 10kbps bitrate.

As JD and Messy Andi said, Handbrake is superb at video compression without losing quality. The settings I use in it are that the output bitrate should match the input (it defaults to 30fps so change this to "Same as Source"), and then on the video tab, move the quality slider left to "25" (it defaults to 22). At 25, you still get crystal clear video, but the file size reduction is remarkable.
