Have you ever been presented with a situation where you are given two optionsembrace the opportunity or pass it up?
Here is my experience and why I decided to take the opportunity and run with it!
As most of you know, a few weeks ago my city was hit with a major hurricane (Milton) knocking down trees and power lines all over town. My apartment was without power for a day, however most places around me were without power for 3 to 5 days.
A few days after the clean up had begun I decided to take my bicycle out for a ride to see the damage around my neighborhood. Light flooding, uprooted trees and debris were the main things I witnessed, however, along my journey I passed by the local grocery store.
As I biked around the back of the building I noticed two large dumpsters that are normally not there. I decided to investigate further by parking my bike and climbing up the side of the dumpster to see what was inside.
To my delight as I peered over the edge I saw a sea of discarded groceries from the store. Since I was dressed in coveralls and boots, I decided to climb inside the dumpster to see if I could get a little bit messy.
Well, as I stepped in I realized this dumpster wasn't just groceries, but majority of it was defrosted ice cream, yogurt, pies, cakes and eggs. This was every foodplay lovers dream come true!
Once I realized I was hidden enough from view I went to town! I busted open hundreds of gallons of ice cream and other messy grocery items and dumped them all over myself! I must have busted 30 dozen eggs over my head while essentially swimming in a dumpster full of slop!
Once I made my way through the sloppy sludge I found the cakes and pies and meticulously opened each one and slammed them in my face and over my head! Followed that with more gallons of melted ice cream and yogurt over my head and let it fill up my coveralls. I was completely coated from head to toe in the nastiest and messiest food I have ever had the pleasure of swimming in. It was like the heavens opened up and led me to this wammers paradise!
After about an hour of wallowing in the sloppy soup I climbed out of the fantastic mess and took a bucket of the melted ice cream and poured it down inside my coveralls for one last time before getting on my bike still covered and riding home.
It was truly a fantasy I didn't know I wanted, come true. I really made the most out of a shitty situation and made sure that food didn't go to waste!
Now I know to check grocery stores out after they lose their power for an extended period of time and to be prepared for a sloppy good time!!!
Sounds like an incredible experience !!! How could you not have passed it up ? And since all of that food would've been wasted anyways, must've been a really fun time !!!
