With the recent development of some online shows such as splat, and the emergence of other shows like GoopQuest and TSD, it got me wondering just how inventive some of our community can be when it comes to thinking up different ways to get messy...
Whats your favourite contraption you have ever seen used? What would your dream contraption be?
I think my favourite actual contraption I have seen on umd is probably the pie pod by arch nemesis, but my favourite actual contraption I have seen anywhere is most of the weird and wonderful contraptions built by my husband, ranging from a gunk dunk with a addition of special pool hoist based seat initially installed for when I was pregnant so that I could still safely get messy but with the ability to get me out quickly in an emergency, to the messy human claw machine that lowers the victim into paddling pools of mess or just drops them into a pool of gunge amongst many other contraptions built by my husband, but I have to admit some of the best concepts I have ever seen were in wam stories, which can be insanely complex!
Im a pretty big fan of gunge tanks. I'd love to build a full tank with a whole bunch of fun features on it. I have also worked with others to help bring their messy devices to life.
I've got something (that I consider) absolutely epic in the works... And what's better, it will be available for sale to other enthusiasts! I'll be posting it as soon as my beta testers give me feedback on improving the mark 1 design!
Our clay tote has been the best homemade contraption for satisfying that sinking and suspension craze. And it was heated as well giving us months of enjoyment until the freezing temperatures arrive. And for that vertical sinking pleasure, our clay is pumped into the 70-inch vertical tank for that up to the neck standing sinking experience.
