Hey everyone, I tried searching for the answer to this but had no luck. My partner bleaches (lightens? Not sure the difference) and said she was interested in being painted but wanted to know about her hair. I have seen lots of pics/vids around here with blondes getting painted head to toe so I was curious if it affected their hair color.

If it matters she was mostly interested in silver and gold.

I appreciate any information/help you all can give!

I can't give a definitive answer but I am sure it shouldn't make a difference to bleached hair, Liz Ashley was painted silver on messygirl, I believe the trick is to thoroughly apply dish soap (washing up liquid) to the hair before showering it off. I don't think the should be any staining as hair shouldn't absorb the aluminium pigment.

I can't say for sure though, hopefully someone can help you more with this.

Jayce definitely has experience in this area. I remember her saying that her hair soaked up the pigment the first time she did it. Hopefully she can chime in.

Bleached hair shouldn't be a problem. It should just wash right out, no change to color. I'm assuming you're using a mixture of oil and mehron?

Yea either vegetable oil or olive oil based on what I have read here. Probably like 2 bottles of mehron stuff if quantity matters. She spends a lot making herself blonde and would be pissed if this stuff ruins it.

I have a lot of experience with Mehron metallic powder and oil on bleached hair and it is never a problem. The pigment is tiny bits of metal, so it doesn't stain hair like other pigments. She'll have no problem at all.

I think it's better to do so on a Friday night in case the first wash doesn't get it out completely, hopefully the second wash on a Saturday morning should do the job, but at least you have Sunday as well, but I've never had a problem getting it out of my hair
