It depends whether you mean meeting up with somebody else for a messy session, or meeting with a group of other WAMmers in a 'vanilla' setting. Both happen, but the latter often facilitates the former, not least because meeting somebody beforehand gains the necessary trust and allows people to talk socially. If there isn't a 'splunch' near you, start and thread and see if one can be arranged.
Far too many people come on here thinking that they can send out a private message demanding 'you get me messy??' and the recipient will think 'Sure, I'm fine to go out and meet up with some stranger with no profile picture, no photos, no forum posts (not to mention bad grammar) - what could possibly go wrong!?' I have personally agreed to meet for a session with another user here, but that's after a series of long chats both here and elsewhere over a period of time, in which we've discussed not just what we would like to do, but messiness in general and subjects that have nothing to do with WAM. In particular we have been very clear on boundaries and what we want out of the meeting. Because of this, we feel safe meeting each other and can enjoy it.
The above may all be obvious to you, but to a lot of people here sadly it isn't. I would really like to submit a 'meetup guide' to the resources pages...
