What a great response to my last LoS, the amazing Gilly. Thanks all.
As part of that post, it was brought up (and I do agree), that the word Legend is throw around rather loosley, although I believe that people I've pick do deserve to be called a Legend. However in saying that, I've decided to subtitle it and introduce The Splosh! Hall of Mess. Of course all previous LoS are inducted into the Hall of Mess.
And now the latest beauty to be enrolled...you can't have Splosh! Hall of Mess without her...who I hear you cry (or get on with it, delete as appropriate). The amazing Rachel Stevens. No not the S 7 Club do dah one (very nice she is), but Splosh's big boobed beauty. Included in many Splosh photoshoots, and videos, Rachel was at home covered in all kinds of messy stuff. Her fun bubbly, personality was always up for a laugh, even at her expense sometimes.
Highlights include lots of food tipped over her in The original Gunge Hill, paint and food in Return to Gunge Hill with Samantha-Jane, the Newsreader on Gooey Girlies. Getting completely trashed in Slime Suspect 2. Paint and pies galore in Samantha-Jane's messy wedding.
Sweet, savoury, paint, mud Rachel has been completed covered in them all.
As well as Splosh, Rachel has appeared in other WAM videos, A Nightmare on Gunge Street in which she stars is a WAM classic.
A top shelf model, when not doing messy stuff, Rachel wasn't shy in taking her clothes off (all the better for us).
Although not confirmed, it's my understanding that after she stopped modelling and covering herself in gunk, she started a Bed and Breakfast business.
In my opinion, Rachel is a true Legend of Splosh and a deserved place in The Splosh! Hall of Mess.
Rachel really loved getting messy and her comic faces and actions had me laughing, superb stuff. She was a class act when it come to Sploshing.
Incidentally to answer a question. There were 2 police custody, 1 in the magazine which was Rachel and the delightful Joanne Bache. There was also 1 on video (Slime Suspect 2) which was Rachel and the lovely Sammy-Jane (as the food thief).
Also yeah, I agree, (as a advocate Splosh!) I love the whole pictures, videos from the Splosh era and believe it was done in its own unique style that should be preserved.
I do not in any way, shape or form take away the amazing stuff that current models, writers, producers do for WAM. There are at present some fantastic videos made and I have the upmost respect for everything that they do.
Thank you for the wonderful pics of Rachel. She was another one of my early WAM crushes- om, my, what a trooper! She was game for anything! And what a babe!
