I read somewhere that in some parts of Canada, due to a long tradition of puritan thought and non conformist religion, swimwear and bikinis are considered to be a bit indecent. So it is common for to young ladies to swim in t shirts and shorts over their bathing suits. Is this true? Sounds good to me if it is.

Okay, I don't know where in the purple fuck you get your reading material about puritan thought and religious practices, but the reason Canadians swim like that...is because it's Canada. Water in Canada is - on occasion - fucking cold. Even in summer.

The alternate reason is because they don't think they look good in a bikini. Full stop.
