Some of what is essential for me is a sharp image, and well lit. If a video is blurry and/or dark, I won't even watch it, no matter what the content is.
Even today, with phones capable fo shooting good quality video, I see blurry videos and badly lit ones. Sometimes it's a window just beside and behind the model's head, so she's almost a silhouette. It's not rocket science. Just cover the window with plastic from a garbage bag and bring a floor-lamp into the room to shoot the scene. Be in focus and away you go! It costs zero to do that, yet I still see a number of dark and blurry videos even today.
Now that is out of the way, the content would have to reflect my personal wam preferences.
Jeans should be high-waisted, with a proper long fly and the back pockets on the bum, not the legs.
Zip pockets should always be done up, not left gaping and spoiling the line of the clothes.
In games that depend on cards or dice or wheel spins, let us see the cards, etc. So we can play along. I know from experience this can be hard to do, so now when our people play card games we get them to either hold the card up to the camera and/or say out loud what they got.
In a game where we all know everyone is going to get gunged but at first there's the illusion that some players may stay clean, the players who've not yet got messy should do all they can to stay clean, so if they need to pick up something messy to put on somene else, they should then keep their messy hand clear of their own outfit, or be provided with something to wipe the mess off, to maintain the illusion right up till it's their turn to get it.
Accuracy in descriptions. Bill Shipton was a master at this.
Camera people who understand what a WAM money shot is. Hint: If you're keeping the model's face in shot as they step into a pool or sit in a bath but as a result we're totally missing seeing the point where their jeans are meeting the water, you don't understand this genre. I've seen two different wetlook samples by different producers in the last few days that both have this fundamental problem. Forget their face and pan the damn camera down so we can see the actual action, and then keep it there!
Models who understand what's wanted and accept having water or mess poured on them without jumping back or scrunching their body up or blocking with their arms, and hence let us clearly see and enjoy what is happening to them.
And a minor peeve: If you're going to cut the legs off jeans to make shorts, then either a) leave the legs still long enough to hide the pocket bags (an inch or two below the crotch usually), or b) remove the pocket bags. Seeing dangling white insides of pockets hanging down past the edge of the leg hole of the shorts is not remotely sexy and ruins the entire look.
I really enjoy videos where there's a sense of fun and/or comaraderie between the participants, even if there is a dom/sub dynamic or one of them is being "hazed" or "punished" by the other.
All other things being equal, when both guys are having fun (which obviously donsn't have to be sexual), then the video is exponentially hotter to me.
I really love it when models are clearly having fun and enjoying getting into whatever the substance may be. I have a preference for mud, and this is why I suspect my favourite provider is, and probably always will be, MostWam.
I love pants filling. Only show the mess soaking through from the inside. Don't mess up the outside of the pants. Let me see the mess soaking in the clothes.
I quite love seeing models just carry on candid conversations either related or unrelated to the mess, love seeing conversations about the experience after the fact while the camera keeps rolling.
Oh and I'm a food WAM purist, don't like any other substances mixed in, but I don't think that's a little detail and more of a general preference.
I've seen many screen grabs from videos that look interesting and what stops me from buying is that it looks like the girl(s) is getting pied again before she wipes her eyes and reacts. Pie-ing a faceless blob just isn't interesting. That's why the slow burn videos work much better for me.
Once again at the risk of going on a tangent (not sure if this is a little detail)...
I much prefer the content where they don't put TOO much effort into making it an over the top WAM video. In other words, I prefer scenes or photos that look more natural and organic. That would mean no excessive mess, real food, maybe stuff that looks like a food fight, or just kinky dessert play, not with a goal of making as much of a mess as possible for the video. For me in most cases, less is more.
