Limestone Clay Bath "One of the many quarries around me was limestone, so I had to jump in"
Out of the 20+ quarries around my area, this was an easy access, totally hidden limestone quarry. It rained two days earlier and they were digging a new flow trench for rain water. At the very bottom, there was thick and sticky white clay. I was biking all day too so his was perfect for cooling down. The funniest thing about limestone is how if it's not fine enough, the water by gravity drips OUT of the limestone, leaving just the clay. no nudity
this was fun, but Limestone can be scary.. since the water leaves limestone due to gravity, if you push down on the movable limestone, you'll sink down, but try and lift out.. you can't. Just like cornstarch (non-newtonian fluid) it's a major workout just to get unstuck.. which is why i wait for rain or the workers to move the clay around. But if u find sediment that has been moved around enough, then it will have a Spackling type texture that sticks really well, and lacks water so that it's not dangerous to sink in.
I'm always amazed how people don't get caught wallowing in these quarries by people who work there... I mean, where I am, if I'm even lucky enough to find a quarry, it's usually all fenced off and there's a guard shack or something at the entrance... I'm just amazed that you people never get in trouble.

I know, right!? The places I choose have to be remote, have a place to wash off, and have a reasonable place to park my car. Even then I'll only go late at night to avoid encountering passers-by. I admire some people's daring, but maybe getting caught just doesn't bother some folks as much. More power to them...
