On one of the last good riding weekends in phoenix my friend and I rode our bikes to the zoo. As we were walking up a dude asked "whose plate says splosh?!?" I chimed in it was mine and he let me know he's way into wet and messy play. It was the first time anybody in public has mentioned knowing what my plate means.
Mine is an sp2. 2003. Rc51 was always one of my dream bikes. Need to make room in the garage though. I've owned it for nearly 15 years. It's my second vtwin sport bike I've owned. Had a tl1000r before that
The tl was a rad bike. It made a good chunk of power but was wayyyy less manageable than the rc51. I think I'm the only person who didn't think the duc 1099 was hideous. Maybe I'll own one of those some day

You nailed it right on the head. Quirky alternative is fair way to describe the entire esthetic of my life. My second car was an El Camino. I adored their preposterous ambition of being a car truck hybrid.

You're speaking my language! I grew-up with my Dad having two different El Caminos, and I had a 79 for awhile. I've owned around 30 sport Ike's over the last 22 years, ranging from GSXR 600s, to ZX10R and almost everything in between. Currently digging my BMW S1000RR. I'd definitely stop you if I saw that plate! I'm in Cali right now at Laguna Seca raceway for the IMSA races. Ride safe out there!
