I have a very vague memory of Leif Garrett covered in clay back around 1979 or 1980, and I think the picture took up a page or part of a page in TIME Magazine back then. He was holding hands w/ some princess whose name or nationality I don't recall, and some sculptor covered their heads over completely w/ clay, w/ some of it dripping onto the white scrubs they were wearing. I recall a larger amount of clay over Mr. Garrett's eyes than the rest of his face and that the princess' hair was especially covered strand-by-strand in clay. Mr. Garrett was quoted saying something like "It was bloody icky, but holding her hand was fine". The sculptor, whose name I also don't recall, was quoted as saying that he was hoping his next living clay sculpture subject would be (then-)CA Gov. Jerry Brown. Does anyone else remember this or better yet know of any scans from it? I like to think I couldn't think up anything this detailed in a dream. Please let me know. Thanks!
